I am recent graduate of the University of Bath, UK, where I studied German, Russian and European Studies.
I originally started this blog to document my Year Abroad, writing down my experiences about living in Voronezh, Russia. I had an amazing time and will never forget it. Russia is an amazing country, which is why I have decided to continue with this blog again.
Hope you enjoy it.

Russia

Basically, I came to the conclusion that Russia’s history and experiences mean that it’s harder for a political culture to emerge there. At the same time, in the Western world, where civic culture is supposed to be strongest, things are changing. For example, the recent General Election in the UK had a voter turnout of 65%. Pretty low for the most important election in a generation if you ask me.
